MDS Spectrum Analyzer

     MDS Spectrum Analyzer is designed for the real time radio spectrum analysis. It performs real time activity analysis, signal search and collects spectrum data for post time analysis.

     Depending on the version you can:

  • Observe and store actual spectrum in the three different time domains (with GPS data).
  • Analyze and register activity of the specified frequency ranges, communication channels.
  • Observe and store actual occupation of the specified frequency ranges, communication channels (with GPS data).
  • Proceed real time search for the signals in specified frequency ranges and listen to the found signals by additional "drop frequency" receiver.
  • Use any kind of the digitizer.
  • Store unlimited size of spectrum data for the future analysis by MDS Data Analyzer or other software.
  • Perform long lasting radio spectrum monitoring.

Usage

     All app. versions can run in one of the two modes - Direct Acquisition or Scan.
     
Direct acquisition mode
  •    Performs fast real time spectrum analysis. Suitable for monitoring in the fixed frequency range.
  •    Frequency range strongly depends on digitizer Nyquist frequency. Digitizer can run in bandpass sampling (undersampling) mode.
  •    Scanning speed depends on samples count (resolution) and data flow rate from the digitizer to PC.
  •    No receiver is required, data from the digitizer is processed in FFT and goes directly to spectrum formation.
   This set is usually used in certain control places to collect data about situation in fixed frequency range, i.e. HF, FM radio, GSM, WiFi, NMT etc.


Scan mode
  •    Performs real time spectrum analysis. Suitable for monitoring in various frequency ranges.
  •    Frequency range depends on scanning receiver's frequency range.
  •    Scanning speed depends on samples count (resolution), IF bandwidth, scanning range and data flow rate from the digitizer to PC.
  •    Spectrum is reconstructed from IF data blocks, acquired in different frequencies.
   This set is usually used in workstations to perform long time radiomonitoring, data collection and analysis in various frequency ranges.
